How does a shirt bar work at an event?
A shirt bar is dead simple for guests and carefully engineered behind the scenes. Here's the four-step flow, how fast a station runs, and exactly what we need from your venue.
The four-step guest flow
From the guest's side it feels effortless. First they pick a blank — size and color from the rack we stock to your palette. Then they pick a design from your event menu, often stacking a couple of graphics for a one-off look. Our operator presses it live, aligning the full-color DTF transfer and bonding it in under a minute, then the tee rests a beat on the cool rack. Finally the guest wears it out, folded and handed back. Start to finish: a couple of minutes.
Station throughput
One station comfortably produces 40 to 60 finished shirts an hour. That means a single bar handles a 100- to 150-person party over a few hours; a 400-guest launch runs three or four stations in parallel so nobody waits. We plan station count around your peak, not your average.
What we need from your venue
Each station wants about a 10×10 area for the bar, press table, and a short queue. Every press runs on a standard 120V circuit — and for fields, rooftops, and remote sites we bring quiet self-contained power. Budget roughly 60 to 90 minutes of setup before doors and a similar teardown after; we build both into the quote. See services for the full station rundown.
Quick FAQ
The short version.
What's the guest experience at a shirt bar?
Four steps: a guest picks a blank shirt and size, picks a design from your menu, watches our operator press it live, and wears it out folded within a couple of minutes. No ordering, no waiting for weeks.
How many shirts can one station make per hour?
A single staffed station turns out 40 to 60 finished shirts per hour with live DTF pressing. We add stations for bigger crowds so the line never stalls.
What does the venue need to provide?
Roughly a 10×10 footprint per station, a standard 120V circuit per press (we can bring quiet power for outdoor sites), and about 60–90 minutes for setup before doors.
